Privacy Procedures

Healthnetwork Foundation and its staff and directors abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (‘HIPAA’).  Healthnetwork follows the "Minimum Necessary" standard, which states that when using, disclosing, or requesting protected health information, covered entities must make reasonable efforts to limit protected health information to the minimum necessary to accomplish the intended purpose of the use, disclosure, or request.

Healthnetwork Foundation will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us.

Privacy Policy
Thank you for visiting the Healthnetwork Foundation web site. The Healthnetwork Foundation is committed to protecting your privacy and will collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us. Such information is securely stored within the Healthnetwork Foundation private network. Some information may also be shared with the Healthnetwork Foundation business partners and other organizations and individuals with which the Healthnetwork Foundation has established a strategic alliance or other contractual relationship. The primary purpose behind the sharing of information is to better the services being provided to you by the Healthnetwork Foundation and by the organizations and individuals for which the Healthnetwork Foundation has established contractual relationships. Information will also be used to improve the Healthnetwork Foundation sales, marketing, and business development efforts.

Donation Information
For those that donate online, after you fill out the form we may need to contact you for additional information.   We do not provide any information supplied on the Web form to any outside organization for any reason other than where we may be required by law, or as necessary to process credit card information.  While we sometimes ask for credit card numbers and either pass them on to a credit card processing service or process them manually, we do not store credit card numbers online. 

Please note  our forms are encrypted to protect your privacy.  Once the information is sent to our site it is kept in secure databases where it is not available to users on the Internet.

How we handle information about your visit:
If you read or download information, we automatically collect and store:

  • the requested web page
  • the domain from which you access the Internet (e.g. compuserve.com)
  • the date and time you access our site
  • status of the request (e.g. success or failure)
  • the type and version of your web browser (Netscape, Explorer, etc.)
